I live on a fairly main road, and like to back in to make it quicker to leave when needed. The process is: put on hazards, pull over, wait for any traffic to pass, then pull out a bit to then back in. This, for some reason, confuses many folks. For these folks, this appears to be about as effective as putting a calculus problem in front of a group of five year olds. Happy St Patrick’s Day folks! Some DKM and Guinness tonight. I told Seymour I had plenty of Guinness for him but I think he’s eyeing mine anyway 😆. A night of art and music at Ian’s school last night. Quite honestly was blown away with the talent on display, and it made us very happy his school encourages and supports creativity in their students. So many art pieces by students and music by both students and faculty. #flamebirkey #blamebirkey Happy 18th Birthday to this guy today! Ian - we love you and are so very proud of you! 30 years ago today - Valentine’s Day - Anita and I had our first date and is our “together” anniversary. 18 years ago today, I gave Anita flowers in the hospital because she had severe preeclampsia. Ian would be born 2 days later by C section, 10 weeks early, spending his first two months in the NICU. Yes the pic is from Christmas, but it’s the most recent good pic of all three of us. I took today off. We got Ian his state ID today (he’s not ready to drive just yet - ASD/ADHD) and had a nice dinner from a restaurant at home tonight. The day is a good reminder of where we’ve been and that we get a little weird and goofy sometimes 😆😆 (pic2). If you're not already aware, maker community pillar and our good friend @andy_birkey lost his shop to fire last night. Andy is such a talented artist and maker, and encourages everyone to see things at a deeper level and to embrace their "inner weird". Making is his livelihood - it's who he is. Please consider contributing if you have the means. Link in my highlighted story "For Birkey" and in bio, or https://gofund.me/c35fb3ee #loveforbirkey Moved a shelving unit to move the drill press to its new spot and router table storage spot. Router table is on casters to pull out and use. And yes, that partition is easily removable in case the oil tank needs to be replaced. Best spot for The Maker Man? Right on that space that needed something on the hammer / mallet till. Removable too in case of any reconfigurations. Thanks @jimmydiresta ! Great seeing you and everyone else yesterday at #thewoodworkingshows .
