    Great Veterans Day Story

This is a great Veterans Day story I saw in the Highland Woodworking Blog. I hope I have close to this man’s skill someday… Very impressive and inspiring!

If you're not already aware, maker community pillar and our good friend @andy_birkey lost his shop to fire last night. Andy is such a talented artist and maker, and encourages everyone to see things at a deeper level and to embrace their "inner weird". Making is his livelihood - it's who he is. Please consider contributing if you have the means. Link in my highlighted story "For Birkey" and in bio, or https://gofund.me/c35fb3ee #loveforbirkey Moved a shelving unit to move the drill press to its new spot and router table storage spot. Router table is on casters to pull out and use. And yes, that partition is easily removable in case the oil tank needs to be replaced. Best spot for The Maker Man? Right on that space that needed something on the hammer / mallet till. Removable too in case of any reconfigurations. Thanks @jimmydiresta ! Great seeing you and everyone else yesterday at #thewoodworkingshows . Great time today hanging out with friends old and new at #thewoodworkingshows . Also apparently a small challenge to get 5 people looking at the same camera at the same time 😆😆 I was specifically instructed to stand next to @derekfrommalden 😆 @jimmydiresta @jackman_works @grazmakes Glad the woodworking show is back Wow! Thanks Jonathan Katz-Moses @katzmosestools for featuring me as Creator of the Week! There is some great, talented folks in company, and I am humbled and very much appreciate being selected. Check out the KM Tools site and sign up for the newsletter. Some great tools and info there. Okay, how many of you have organized a part of your shop, to then realize a whole other section could be better organized and setup for better workflow? So here we go, organization in progress… From my shop to yours, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. @oneidaairsystems has made a few nice updates to their Dust Deputy since the original one I got years ago. A more robust bucket cover mount and a 2.5 line optimized for newer vacs. This may not be the most glamorous way to mount it to my @ridgidtools vac, but it works. It’s basically a few “cut to your own length” hook and loop straps. The hose attaching to the tool is @rockler_woodworking Dust Right Flexihose. (FYI no sponsors on this post, just products I like).
